Course, they had some fun, too. Shortly after this photo taken at Fort Shanks, a snowball fight broke out.
This week I finished final edits on the text of this book, which is scheduled to be published next fall.
And my editor finalized the photographs, so my
next task is to seek permissions to use any of the photos that aren't in the public domain.
One advantage to writing a military story is that many of the photos were taken taken by the Army Signal Corps and are free to use.
But the book has about seventy photos, so no easy task to get all the permissions. I've already written most of the captions, so that will save me some time in this next stage of the production process.
Meanwhile, I am continuing to work on my young adult novel, though at the moment, I
seem sort of stalled in the middle. Send good thoughts to keep me moving forward on that.
As always, thanks for you support!
