July 26, 2024 Hello , Taking a week off makes it hard to get back in the writing mode. I returned from my travels Monday evening and this week flew by. Here's what I've been doing instead of writing. Glueing 5,000 tiny rhinestones to my costume for an aerial performance coming up in late August. I'm not really a "craft" person and would never say I'm good with
details, so this was a a stretch for me. Got it done.
Battling bindweed in my back yard and among my blueberry bushes. I will probably not succeed in getting rid
of this noxious, obnoxious and invasive weed, but I hope to keep it from spreading to my vegetable garden.
Angelica now works at Kennedy Space Center, as does her new husband. They were married July 20th, the 55th anniversary of the first moon walk.
My husband and I took a tour while we were in Florida for the wedding. For some reason the tour guides there kept calling the Apollo Program
"history."
I found I had forgotten a lot of the details of the space race. It was fun to look at the old video footage and be reminded of those exciting events. (5 minute video)
